Questo progetto di ricerca visiva nasce dall’osservazione attenta e dalla rilettura contemporanea delle bambole in ceramica Lenci, oggetti iconici capaci di condensare in sé una raffinata sintesi tra artigianato, estetica e immaginario culturale. Le loro forme delicate, i volti sospesi tra innocenza e malinconia, e la ricchezza cromatica diventano il punto di partenza per un’indagine visiva che si muove tra memoria e reinterpretazione.
Attraverso la costruzione e l’elaborazione di visual moodboard ispirazionali, il progetto sviluppa un linguaggio visivo che traduce gli elementi distintivi di queste bambole — pattern decorativi, palette polverose, dettagli sartoriali — in una serie di stampe contemporanee. Il processo non si limita a una citazione estetica, ma si configura come una trasformazione: le suggestioni originarie vengono scomposte, stratificate e ricodificate per generare nuove superfici visive.
Il risultato è una collezione di stampe pensate per il tessile, capaci di evocare un immaginario sofisticato e colto. Le composizioni si rivolgono idealmente a un cliente Prada: un individuo intellettuale, curioso, attento alla ricerca e alla complessità dei riferimenti culturali, che riconosce nel dettaglio e nella sperimentazione un valore distintivo.
In questo senso, il progetto si colloca in uno spazio ibrido tra arte e moda, dove la memoria materica d’achivio incontra una sensibilità contemporanea, dando vita a una serie di stampe tessili in bilico tra memoria e astrazione, evocative e profondamente identitarie.
This visual research project originates from a close observation and contemporary reinterpretation of Lenci ceramic dolls—iconic objects that embody a refined synthesis of craftsmanship, aesthetics, and cultural imagination. Their delicate forms, faces suspended between innocence and melancholy, and rich color palettes become the starting point for a visual investigation that moves between memory and reinterpretation.
Through the construction and processing of inspirational visual moodboards, the project develops a visual language that translates the distinctive elements of these dolls—decorative patterns, dusty palettes, and sartorial details—into a series of contemporary prints. The process goes beyond aesthetic quotation, becoming a transformation in which original references are deconstructed, layered, and recoded to generate new visual surfaces.
The result is a collection of textile prints capable of evoking a sophisticated and intellectual imagery. The compositions are ideally addressed to a Prada client: an individual who is intellectually curious, research-driven, and attentive to the complexity of cultural references, recognizing value in detail and visual experimentation.
